🌙 Our Story | W.A.N.T. - Realizing Our Dreams Together

Dalbitbooks was born from a small circle of mothers in Korea who gathered to answer this most fundamental question: 


What do you truly want?

 

What began as intimate evenings of storytelling has since blossomed into a vibrant publishing house, an academy, and a global creative community.

From heartfelt picture books to transformative nonfiction, every title we produce is born out of asking and answering the essential question of THE WANT and our works are created with the purpose to heal, inspire, and empower. Some of our most cherished titles include Dear My Mom, a picture book that connects three generations, and The Self-Love Notebook, a guide to inner healing. These books are more than pages; they are companions for families, tools for connection, and mirrors of growth.


⭐우리의 이야기 | 원함, 꿈을 함께 이루다

달빛북스(Dalbitbooks)는 한국에서 몇몇 엄마들이 “원하는 삶은 무엇인가?”라는 질문을 통한 독서 모임에서 시작되었습니다. 작은 모임으로 시작된 이야기는 책방에서 출판사, 아카데미, 그리고 세계적인 창의 커뮤니티로 성장했습니다. 감성적인 그림책부터 변화의 힘을 담은 논픽션까지, 오로지 WANT에 대한 질문과 대답을 통해 책을 구성했습니다. 우리의 모든 작업은 “치유, 영감, 성장”을 목적으로 합니다. 세대를 잇는 그림책 〈안녕, 나의 엄마〉 와 내적 치유를 돕는 가이드북 〈오제은 교수의 자기사랑노트〉 는 우리를 대표하는 작품으로, 단순한 책을 넘어 가족의 동반자이자, 연결의 도구, 성찰의 거울이 되고 있습니다.

Our publishing journey has always been guided by the heart. We publish stories that hold what the heart truly longs for.  

Each title we release is rooted in the belief that stories can open wounds and also mend them, carry memory and also spark new beginnings.

우리의 출판 여정은 언제나 ‘마음’에 의해 이끌려 왔습니다. 우리는 “가슴이 원하는 것을 담은 책”을 출판합니다. 우리가 내는 모든 책은 이야기가 상처를 열기도 하고 동시에 치유할 수도 있으며, 기억을 간직하는 동시에 새로운 시작을 불러올 수 있다는 믿음 위에 서 있습니다.


🌙 Education & Empowerment
Dalbitbooks is more than a publisher—we are also an educator. Through our academy arm, Parantica Global Academy and Best of Me online platform, children and parents learn side by side, exploring storytelling, art, and entrepreneurship. A child who begins by listening to a picture book can grow into creating one; a mother who starts her healing journey through books can blossom into authorship and leadership. Education at Dalbitbooks is creative, transformative, and global.

달빛북스은 단순한 출판사가 아니라 ‘교육자’이기도 합니다. 아카데미 부문인 Parantica Global Academy 와 온라인 플랫폼 Best of Me 를 통해 아이들과 부모가 함께 이야기, 예술, 그리고 창업을 배워갑니다. 그림책을 들으며 자라난 아이가 결국 자신만의 책을 만들고, 책을 통해 치유를 시작한 엄마가 저자가 되고 리더가 되는 곳, 그것이 달빛북스의 교육입니다. 우리의 교육은 창의적이고, 변혁적이며, 세계와 연결되어 있습니다.

Over the years, our circle of mothers has grown into a living community of writers, readers, and dreamers. Children who once nestled in their mothers’ arms now hold books they themselves have written. Families who once came for healing now mentor others on their unique journeys. At Dalbitbooks, stories are not only read—they come alive and become a community where dreams are shared and realized together. 


⭐  창의적 공동체

엄마들의 모임은 작가와 독자, 그리고 꿈꾸는 이들의 살아 있는 공동체로 자라났습니다. 엄마 품에 안겨 이야기를 듣던 아이들은 이제 스스로 책을 집필하고, 치유를 위해 찾아왔던 가족들은 또 다른 이들을 멘토링합니다. 달빛북스에서는 책이 단순히 읽히는 것이 아니라, 살아 있고 서로의 꿈을 함께 이루어주는 공동체로 자리합니다.


🌙 Global Reach
In 2025, Dalbitbooks took a bold step forward, expanding beyond Korea through The WANT Cross Media Co., Ltd., our global creative platform. After our international debut at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in April 2025, we are proud to present our picture books and The WANT Card at the Frankfurter Buchmesse in October, together with ambassadors from Spain and Italy who are already carrying our work across Europe. We will also be exhibiting at Spiel Essen (October 2025) and London (in 2026) and back in Bologna next April. We are committed to serving as a creative bridge between Korea and the rest of the world.


⭐ 세계로의 확장

2025년, 달빛북스는 글로벌 크리에이티브 플랫폼 The WANT Cross Media Co., Ltd. 를 통해 한국을 넘어 세계로 발돋움했습니다. 2025년 4월 볼로냐 국제 아동도서전에서 국제 데뷔를 한 뒤, 10월에는 프랑크푸르트 북페어에서 우리의 그림책과 The WANT Card 를 선보이게 되었습니다. 또한 스페인과 이탈리아의 앰배서더들과 함께 이미 유럽 곳곳에 우리의 이야기를 전하고 있습니다. 앞으로 우리는 에센 슈필(Spiel Essen), 런던(2026년), 그리고 내년 4월 다시 볼로냐에서 독자들과 만날 예정입니다. 우리는 한국과 세계를 잇는 창의적 다리가 되는 것을 사명으로 삼고 있습니다.


🌙 A Home for Stories, Jeju Island 
Our new home on Jeju Island, Korea (often referred to as the 'Hawaii of Asia') is more than an office—it is a cultural sanctuary for mothers and all who cherish life. At its heart stands a century-old tree, a living symbol of resilience and healing. Around it we have created spaces where publishing, education, and community meet:


  • Dalbitbooks Publishing House & Archive Room – where  four kinds of WANT come true

  • Somatic House – if you seek healing for the body and mind, this is the place to visit

  • Parantica Global Academy – a place that teaches the complete process of creating and exporting books and K-content

  • Of Sequence Cafe – coffee and friendship, where hearts are shared

  • Best of Me -- when you need professional family counselling


⭐ 제주, 이야기의 집

한국의 ‘아시아의 하와이’라 불리는 제주도에 마련된 우리의 새 보금자리는 단순한 사무실이 아니라 <엄마 그리고 생명을 사랑하는 이들의 문화적 성소> 입니다. 그 중심에는 백 년을 살아온 나무가 서 있는데, 이는 회복력과 치유의 살아 있는 상징입니다. 그 나무를 중심으로 우리는 출판, 교육, 공동체가 함께 어우러지는 공간을 만들었습니다:
